Best feeling in the World

Well I just picked up my max from getting the replacement tranny and my ohh my. I thought that the car was fast when the tranny was slipping but now it feels as fast as my moms 03 Altima 2.5. I know that the may is a V6 and the Altima is a I4 but the Altima has that lightweight body and engine, slightly higher hp and much faster acceleration. That was when my tranny was slipping though. Now I feel confident that I can give the Alt a good run for it's money. I got the tranny from a 93 Max GXE and I want to know how will I figure out if it's limited slip or not. I can do 0-60 in about 5-7 seconds stock. I never knew the true potential of my maxima until now. I just can't wait to get the VB stage 2 upgrade.

GXE auto will never do 0-60 in the 5-7 range (which is a HUGE range to begin with). Auto VEs don't do 0-60 in 7 sec. Hell 5-sp VE 0-60 times are in the 6.7-7.2 range.

But it's good to hear you got the car back. Good running maxima is always a good feeling.

the I4 Alty will still beat the VG in the top end

no GXEs had limited slip

theres no way you're doing 0-60 in 5-7 ...try 8-9 if that

calm down its still an auto VG...its running though so congrads!

I know about the 0-60 but it just felt soo freakin good to have a good tranny. I know the Alt will beat the VG in the top end but I FEEL I can give it a run for its money. The tranny cooler is going in along with the VB mod. I can't wait to begin my performance mods now.

I think he means 5-7 seconds according to the butt dyno! So that will be 2(butt2 - butt1) +butt1 = esimated 0-60. Which comes out to 9 seconds!
