Speaker Grille Project

Well, my car's not running very well right now, so I've decided to start some new projects...
The first is the grilles for my front speakers...I took off the panel today and am about to rewire the fronts instead of having them run off of that crappy wiring. I was taking a look at the grille and realized it just popped off, and what was behind it was just a non-Bose grille with a hole cut in it...I removed the "support bars" and the carbon paper from the grille and I've got it taped up right now. I'm gonna spray paint the plastic black tomorrow (any tips?). Here is what I wanna know from you guys...I really don't like the "Bose" plate that is inside the grille itself, I've noticed it can be popped out. Does anyone on here have the know-how or skills to make me a new one, with "Pioneer" on it...If someone does I can get the measurements and maybe someone can get a prototype made.

That thing you cut the 'support' bars out of, why did you stop there? Dont even bother painting it black, and instead cut it all out along the perimeter.

I was thinking that too, but then the spot where the grille clips into will be gone, and I'm afraid the grille won't be stable.
Also, if I get this finished I'll be looking to order some speaker pods from you.

No you dont cut it out that far.. see where the indentions/bars are within the part you plan to paint? See that perimeter where they stop? Cut it out there.

A dremel took care of that for me in about 10 mins

Well, I might...thing is I don't have a dremel and I cut that support stuff out with a snipper and a razor blade...I don't think I could do all that with those tools, I'll look into it more.

Painted the grille and the panel grille part today...looks a lot better. Still looking for someone who can replicate the Bose piece, I know we have a lot of different backgrounds on the org, and a lot of people with different occupations, someone put this together!
