heater
heater
changed all of that stuff and finally stopped the car from over heating, now my heater doesn't work, Fluid is flowing in and out of the heater core but the system blows cool air, what the , Can't figure it out, any suggestions.
How old, how many miles, what history of coolant flushes etc? You may have the trapped air bubble-I think the '89s had to be jacked up a large amount to bleed the system. Other possiblities-clogged heater core, clogged radiator/heater hoses, too little antifreeze volume, nonpumping water pump, malfunctioning heater valve control on the engine side of the firewall. As to your post on overheating, it sounds like you fixed it, but it could be bad radiator cap, bad radiator, something loosing the pressure in the system, bad fans or relays, something blocking the radiator, head gaskets, bad waterpump, etc. good luck. Did the overheating/poor heater output happen all of a sudden? Do you lose coolant? any trouble before?
