Well, the guy selling it got on the .org somehow (someone clued him in??? He had the car before and was never online before his car became famous on ebay).

I am thinking he probably told whoever bought it to check out the .org, too. Whether the guy does it or not remains to be seen.

I think it's a little strange he never returned calls or acknowledged that anyone looked at the car from .org.

Oh, well. Until someone legit on here sees it in person, it is a phantom.

***Spipedong, please post pics of your new car. It just breaks my heart to see the twin on there...

He did, he said one person came and looked at the car.

What happened to the people who scheduled to go see it?

The thing that I wondered was that the guy didn't say much about driving the car. He just said runs good, and that was it. Maybe the enginge is running but not at its fullest potential because of the frankenstein junkyard chop job. That would explain why the car went for so cheap.

Just so you guys know, I'll be relisting the maxima sometime this week. This time I will put a far more detailed description of the car and more pictures or the outside and inside of the car.

Any other questions e-mail me @hotmail.com. I'll probably put it up by thursday. If anyone wants to come down, see the car, and make an offer I'm available for that as well.

Cheers

He bid on it thinking he was going to come down and see it. He wasn't able to come down so he asked me to cancel his bid but I didn't get his e-mail in time to.

From the two people who did come see it, they both said that I didn't put enough description of the work that needs to be done to the car. All the things that are missing in it. I guess I should have mentioned that kind of thing but I did say it was missing alot of work. The engine is good and it drives good. When I relist it, I'm gonna put EVERYTHING I can see and think of that needs work. Hopefully that'll create some legitimacy as well.

Makes ya wonder? What did it end at like 2,000 that well worth the engine in there? Must have been some other problems im guessing or it was just some azz head buying it. Someone really needs to get over there and see if it is driveable!!

Anyone one of you guys are welcomed over to make a full inspection. I'm not hiding anything...I'm obviously incredibly ignorant about this car but I'm giving everyone a chance to take a look at it for themselves.

hey Mike (i assume your name is Mike )
I have a few qs.
1. Did you buy it with the new motor in or you commissioned someone to do it for you?
2. If the former, from whom did you buy the car?
3. If the latter, who did the swap?

I have long since assumed you aren't too knowledgeable on the swap that was done on the car (no insults meant or anything), so hopefully, no-one will start asking about what parts were swapped, etc. Maybe we can get a whole lot more information from the person that actually did the swap.

btw, if you could get more pictures of the car (underneath, if it isn't too much) as well as more detailed pics of the engine bay, the front suspension, the motor mounts, etc. it would be very much appreciated. If you need someone to host the pics, email them to:
sola@ksu.edu

Thanks.

Hey, instead of making us wait until Thursday to see what's missing, can you tell us now? I'm just really curious as to what other work it needs, and I think others would like to know as well. Thanks for letting us know so far.

You gotta be kidding me. It's your option if you dont see all the "hoopla" in this topic. It's your option if the car looks fake or not. It's your option if you dont see the hard work that was put into it. It's your option if you're not interested in this car. BUT after you citicize this car you post a car for sale that most of us here can't afford, that my friend is tasteless. It's tasteless not because most of us cant afford that car, it's tasteless because I can't help but think you're thumbing your nose at the situation. IMO

For years folks has been saying it can't be done and with all honesty I never understood why it couldn't be done if no one actually gave it a try. Everyone was pretty much going on their opinion. So I applaud this guy even if he had a complete donor car sitting side-by-side during the swap

BTW did you happen to post your Infinity in the proper for-sale forum? Let me go check, nope you didn't.

MIKE

I'll only buy that G35 if it has a VE30 in it.

(funny looking rear end on that car, by the way)

it's a photochop. Look at the spoiler and the G35 doesn't have a race line.

Mike. I don't know you, but you are okay in my book buddy.
You spoke your mind, and you even did some research regarding my lack of proper forum posting for my "one of a kind" vG35se for sale.
I'm laughing with you, toasting my glass, and burping you, knowing that I got your dander up over my 91 Maxima SE/04 G35 Hybrid (Photoshop Edition).
I had no idea anyone would miss what I thought was a glaring joke regarding the VQ engine swap we have all been bewildered by in this thread.
And on a side note, I actually never thought the original VQ swap was a hoax. I could tell by his original eBay listing, which encouraged people to come and see it in person that he was likely for real. Though, I was very curious to find out if it actually worked and how efficiently it was installed.
I guess I should be pleased with my Photoshop skills - I'll chalk it up as a compliment. Cheers Mike - It's all good!

Regards,
Hadman (on "the org")
