Tranny oil in and out in one pour

Well, I hate to bother everyone again, you have been such a help in the past BUT, I pulled the shafts out of the tranamission and got new seals from Nissan, and when I put all back together, it leaks as fast as I can put it in, on the driver's side. The other side seems fine (sofar). Is it possible that Nissan sent the rong part, or is it more likely that I did something, like not getting the shaft all the way in. I pushed it pretty hard and thought it went all the way. Any suggestions,Please. I'll appreciate any help. I know there have been a lot of discussions on this subject, but I couldn't find any help in them.

I know exactly what you're talking about. NAPA and AZ have the wrong part number listed for my car, so the axle was shorter and not touching the seal. My tranny oil would leak out too.

If you're sure you pushed it in all the way in, then it could be the wrong part. To make sure the axle is all the way in, pull it out and if it moves more than 5mm out, it's too short.

Good luck.

It is the original axle, so I had to have not pushed it in all the way' or the seal is rong. Thanks for your reply.

you should not be able to pull the axle out by hand more than 1-2mm, if it's all the way in. call the nissan dealer and verify the part number. then if that checks out, maybe the seal was cut/slit when you pushed the axle in. just some thoughts.
