update on control arm swap

i'm finally done with the control arm swap. hopefully it will correct the excessive negative camber on the wheel. thanks internetautomar. stage one is complete, now onto stage 2, replacing the steering knuckle and hub. It's true that wheel bearing cause a nasty scraping noise and rough ride.

I have one question to ask. How far do you have to screw the tie rods in, how much bolt thread show be exposed?

Once again Internetautomar, thanks , the control arm works great, but will it really straighten negative camber on a wheel?

the tie rod adjustment varies by car, that's part of getting the car aligned.
It will only help the camber problem if the ball joint / arm / bushings were bad and causing the problem.

Something that might be a culprit of scraping. The brake dust shield sometimes bends towards the rotors on either side and could cause scraping. Just something to check.

For the tie-rod ends, oh dear. Before removing the old ones, *mark the position they are at*, and count the number of turns it took to remove it. The latter works good for oem replacements. For other brands apart from nissan, do the former and get an alignment ASAP.

I've tried getting an alignment before, but was told that there was too much neg. camber and the wheel was set back an inch. Now with the new contol arm correcting the camber, I'm talking the car in to get the wheel pulled forward and then get an alignment. its no the baffle, that was the first thing I checked. I'm 110% sure its the bearings.
