ECU - Where is it???

Hi,

I was not able to access any of the online manuals to check where teh ECU is.

Could you please tell me where the ECU is as I want to check my engine codes.

I heard that it is in the centre under the radio. Is it easy to see, or does it have a cover on it?

Regards,

Jarrod

where the passenger's feet are there is a little plastic cover on the left. behind that is your ecu with its jolly flashing lights.

(time for me to go to bed)

There were 2 control units next to each other that I pulled out of my parts car. I understand the bigger one is the ecu, but what's the smaller one?

In my '94, all that was necessary was to remove the plastic cover which is to the left of the passengers feet. This exposes the front of the ECU.

Yea i just recently changed to a jwt ecu and i had a tuff time finding it too. I pulled out the one behing the ash tray first and thought that was it lol... buuuut its not. when ur sitting in drivers seat down in the floor on the bottom right (right beside ur gas pedal) theres a plastic panel with 2 screws platic capped screws in it. undo those and its right there. The way the ecu is screwed in there (a screw in each corner of the ecu) the way there angled u will never be able to get it out, well good luck, i just unplugged my old one, and put new one right on top of it and plugged it in, so i can plug back into stock whenever i want w00t
