Wow, my car is freaking me out now. Out of nowhere today, i pull forward from a stoplight, my car goes into second then in second it throws the RPMs in the 5000's out of no pressure on the gas and then finally shifts into third, third is climing and staying steady then does the same thing again but closer to 6500 this time. Is this a slipping tranny?

First thing is to check the fluid level. If the fluid is old, then do a drain/fill.

Yesterday was the first day it happened. The fluid level, when i checked it was a little low, but not vital. I refilled it after work just to see if there was any noticeable difference. Still slipping really bad and there is no difference whatsoever. I'm not possitive if a drain/refill will be any different. Any idea of the prices if i do the labor myself?

Well, when i checked the level the first time, the fluid was more of a clay red color. Wasn't fresh out of the bottle deep red, but it wasn't black either. When I had the place down the street from my work put some in, I drove around the block, came back and checked it. The color that time was a burnt red as if it either mixed in with the old or got burnt from the tranny. I'm taking the car to this transmission specialist by where I live and having it checked up. From the diagnosis there is where i find my options

Well you shouldn't be waiting for black ATF to change it, changing ATF is easier than doing an oil/filter change. Also check that that the shift bushings are in place, there one where the cable meets t he tranny and one under the heat sheild above the cat convertor for the shift selector. If you have the FSM you could follow their trouble shooting and running the tranny diagnostics. There could be something simple like the TPS or the tranny solenoid pack.
