how much for 1990 Maxima SE RED

how much for 1990 Maxima SE RED

I just saw a red 1990 maxima se auto w/ 163000 on the clock 1 owner car, exterior and interior were clean but there are some minor isues the rear left 1/4 pannel is rusted on th einside of the car the trunk are, the sun roof shade is jammed and the antenna doesnt retract. the a/c is cold the engine has a little bit of a vibration to it (owner said it may need a tune up) almost all suspension parts have been changed reacently. all for 1500 negotiable KBB.com came up 675 trade in value in fair condition.
your input is valuable.

Transmission and timing belt....if you can get info on how the maintenance was on those, then it's probably an OK deal. If either one goes out, it'll set you back more than $1500 to fix..

ok plans just changed the owner just got stuck on the highway and said if I paid for the towing the car is mines. The cars transmission just gave out. I started the car and the engine runs but doesnt move at all. is this possible Ive seen trannies that moved at least a little. He says he was on the highway driving and then he saw the rpms get high and the car slow down now it doesnt move in no postion at all not even reverse. any body know if it is the tranny or some other part to it?

well if you're only paying for the cost of towing and it isn't more than $150, you could get it and part it out. definitely not a keeper because of the amount of work you'll have to put in imo.

well gee wiz what a quawinceidence the tranny went out while the owner was trying to sell the car. gee i bet he had no idea it was going to go out

I really dont think he new the tranny was going to go because he ended up taking the train home.
