Hermm, found something interesting...

After driving MrGone's car from The Dalles to pick up Chris' car, I've noticed my clutch pedal is almost non-existant. Shawn's pedal is springy, smooth, and engages instantly (kthx to the excedy).

When i first got back into my car, i thought the clutch was getting stuck down on the floor! it gave no pressure back (well, not as much as Shawns). Also, when I was pressing it down, it would seem like it was clicking/grabbing and it would make that creaky spring noise... I guess I'll try a clutch fluid flush here soon to see if that's the issue.

If it's the clutch... well... to autotrader it may go... :/

oh, and Jeff, i dunno what I was thinking building up a VG... VE > VG

Exedy no C, just sounds like it lol.

The strange thing is Anton got better mileage in my car than I did in Chris's but I was babying it, while Anton was playing VE powah in mine . Chris has a y-pipe and stock cat/catback, I just have the greddy/test-pipe. I doubt the intakes would make a difference (pop charger vs. CAI)

I was mentioning a few days ago to you that your clutch felt like a cable clutch, I dont know why

they are hydraulic. He is talking about flushing the clutch line (brake fluid), not the tranny fluid.

Hmmm. 1st it was get rid of the VG and buy a muscle car. Scratched...
Then it was build some super VG motor. Scratched
Now it's buy a VE maxima........

Personally, I'd probably turbo the VG. Do a very basic kit, get your 200-220hp and enjoy it. You will be faster than alot of cars out there. I might have a small turbo perfect for this for sale in the future also. All rebuilt

Definitely sounds like the hydraulic clutch to me, especially if the pedal is going down and not returning. It could very well be one of the seals in the hydraulic linkage, or the master cylinder itself, check it out.

now, i'd be up for the whole turbo thing... but it's the *might* have one available that I'm afraid of...

Just buying the Ve makes sense... i can get a VE for less if not equal to what i sell mine for... thats 30hp for "free" Plus, i kinda wanna start over... i'd like a bone stock, "just a daily driver" car for once and a while...

LMK about the turbo thing.
