VE headers

VE headers

anyone know if its worth it getting new headers for the VE30DE.... and if it is any good place to get some. i cant find any for the twin cam

Custom. They might be worth it if you build them right. Might want to do some brushing up on your fluid dynamics theory

I agree. Nobody that we know of has really done a set of headers for the VE. They might help. But if designed wrong, they might hurt! But it will be a custom job.

yeah, the stock ve manifolds are tubular stock, right? i would think those would flow pretty well as is. nissan tends to do a very good job with their stock exhaust manifolds. probably the best example is the old Z31 turbo's. the stock manifolds have been proven to flow enough for 400+ rwhp. that's an old engine too. the ve should easily have the same or better design. most likely there isn't much to gain.

well since it looks like i wont be getting new headers... how do you replace a cracked stud... my #6 has a leak and sounds like ****. i just want to eventually get to it and thats what i belive is the problem

wont headers for the 300zx work, b/c isnt it the same engine, so wouldnt you just need to do a bit of custom fabrication?

89-91 have the same engine but the 92-94 se's have a dohc ve30de engine.

for the stud, it would need to be drilled out and replaced. they tend to be expensive to do though.

The manifold gasket part number they give is NOT the one for your engine.
