Ignition coil ?

What are the symptoms of a bad ignition coil? I looked at mine and see no cracking, but the engine seems to miss and sometimes will seem to get "stuck at an rpm" (manual tranny) and then will jerk as the rpms start to climb again.

Get a multimeter and check the resistances of them per the FSM (0.8Ohms I think is what they are supposed to be).

its proboly 1 or 2 coils but theres really no way of testing them. i had the same problem and even had taped up all the coils even though i couldnt see any crakes and as soon as i replaced them the hesitation went away

do you know any other VE owners in your area you could trade coils with to make sure thats the problem
