ok im not what you could call a newbie when it comes to workin on my cars but ... man i feel like im going to get flammed for this ? where is the damn drain plug on the ve 5-speed the tranny i picked up yesterday has got water in it and i want to get it all out befor i take it off the jack stands god i feel like a fartgin idiot

It's kinda on the side of the bottom. It's on a vertical surface (the bottom flat surface curves up - and the drain plug is right there), on the side where the transmission mounts to the engine

 

thanks very much. i thought that was it but when i pulled it out on my other tranny nothing came out.so i figured that it had somethin to do with the shifter and didnt want to mess around with it on the newer tranny till i was positive about it thanks again
