NGK.COM for O2 sensor?

I want to get a new O2 sensor (bad gas mileage). Has anyone ordered an o2 from NGK.com? they have one(NTK) for my VE for $50.00. Is the NTK a direct fit, will I have to cut wires or not?

I have been driving a GXE for the past 3 days and so far I'm MUCH better gas mileage than my SE (same year mind you). So I'm gonna start with the O2 sensor first then move on to changing the injectors next if the O2 doesn't help.

BTW, still no VTC ticking after my incident with the oil filter. "knock on wood"

I don't have much insight on the VE engine, or any engines for that matter, but it seems since your whole car was drained, differently from an oil change, the something within the oil compartment could be causing the VTC problem? I say use your experience to try to end the VTC problem.

Yes the NTK O2 sensor is direct fit. And from what I know it is the same exact one that came with your car when it was brand new.

I think the GXE should get better milage than the SE. The 92-94 SE has a VE motor while all GXE's have a VG. The VG is SOHC while the VE is DOHC. Both engines are completely different and the SE performs a better (160 hp vs 190 hp). It should get worse milage.
