Crazy Tachometer...frog in car

So I was leaving work today (I work at a carwash and just got my baby washed), they key was in ignition, and I turned it to the "on" position but hadnt started it...and I noticed my tachometer jumped around...wasnt sure why? and at the same time a frog started croaking by my left knee (sounded like a relay ****ing up or something), anyone else ever have this kind of problem...could something have gotten wet? I know it's pretty vague I'm just hoping it won't do major damage.

What's up bro (lol),

Try to clean up your ground wire on the battery. The actual part where it meets the engine. Also, your tach could be bad. Ya might wanna buy a new gauge cluster (w/lower milage) from a yard and try it out. You could swap to white gauges if ya don't already have 'em. Also, you could change the colors of the blubs if ya wanted. But ya probably already know that. You might even want to check the connection on the backside of the cluster.

That's what I would think,

Well, the relay sound and tacho jumping started at the same time, so I'm assuming they're related...I was wondering if anyone knew of a relay or anything connected to the tacho/ign/etc.

did the car start fine?

every vehicle i've messed with that did the crazy tach thing when not running was always caused by an undercharged battery.

ohh it was probably that, because they leave the keys in the ign as it goes down the track, yeah probably just a little undercharged...you rule
