Shaving Rear Emblem

To the guys who have done this to their maxima's, what did you guys use or do to clean up the rear end? I'm thinking about doing this but don't wanna scratch up the rear. Thanks in Advance.

it would take a lot of sanding with a very fine sand paper to make it turn out right.

nope,
the letters are actual plastic that sticks out from the plastic centerpiece. paint thinner, varsol or acetone will take the paint off the letters but they'll still be there.

nope, the letters are part of the mould. they aren't stuck on like how the 4th an 5th gen maximas have it.
i wish it could be done easily because i would have done it myself.
i'm not saying it can't be done but it would take some precision work to have the piece turn out nice.

this should be what n34jz was trying to post.

this is a shaved trunk though. the plastic piece is removed and and metal is welded in flush to really clean up the look of the rear end.
i love this look and will hopefully have it done to my car sometime this year. i have a spare trunk lid to screw with now so it's bound to happen.
