We don't know what's your ability in auto repairs so it's hard for us to determine what YOU can do and want YOU can't do. But since I just drop my oil pan yesterday I'll tell you what's involved and you'll decide if it's something you can do. To begin with I have a auto VE so your car may vary, but unlikely.
1)There's a bracket that holds the auto shift cable and trans inspection plate that needed to come off.
2)Disconnect the y-pipe from the exh manifolds, I just let it hang and support it at that point. I did not disconnect the other end of the y-pipe.
3)Remove the engine cross member. Doing this you will have to find a way to support the engine.
4)Unbolt all the oil pan bolts and remove the pan.
After all that you will get this
If this seems like something YOU can do then go for it, if it doesn't you know what you have to do. Keep in mind my steps may vary a little but it's pretty much correct.
So what you think, can you do it?
