Question: Crank Pulley

Does anyone know if the 2nd gen crank pulley is the same as ours. I'm pretty certain it is because the a/c compressor pulley drives the alternator on those.
I just want to be sure though because 2nd gen crank pulleys are dirt cheap on the unorthodox racing site.

when I selected Nissan Maxima on unorthodoxracing.com, it doesn't even list any applications for 2nd gens. Probably looking in the wrong place though

what do you mean by:
"the a/c compressor pulley drives the alternator on those"
Are you saying A/C and alternator are driven by the same belt? On our cars, the alt. has it's own belt, so does A/C, and there is one for power steering and water pump.

IIRC, the pulley is 2nd gen specific. contact Justin MC if you want one- he used to have several for cheapola. maybe he can even check it against his 3rd gen VG since it's in 1,000,000 pcs right now.

2nd / 3rd gen VGs might have different crank snout lengths, thus the different applications. If it was the same for all, you would see something like "84-94" VG30 maxima or something. But you don't. Because it's not. Thus the different applications.

i meant that the a/c and alternator are driven by the same belt.
the 2nd gen pulley is listed in the 'old stock/blemished products' section on the u.r. site.
u.r. only wants $80 for the pulley
