Hello,
I just noticed the interior lights and the dome light in my car slightly flickering. It seems to stay steady when I stepped on the gas. What could be wrong?

P.S. I have the battery replaced about 10 months ago.

 

sounds like a possible failling alternator, good luck.

I brought the car to a local auto part store and have it checked out. The guy there used a meter and checked the battery. It's ok. Then he asked me to rev the engine up to 2000 RPM to check for the Alternator. He took the readings and said all are working as expected. Nothing wrong.

Now I do not know what is wrong. I suspected it was the alternator since the flickering of the inside lights (dash board/ dome light) seem to be more obvivous when I turn on the head lights and the light even blinks more when I turn on the air conditioning. The flickering stops when I step on the gas paddle or while driving. What could be the problem here? Please help.

 

it could be a bad connection at the battery. make sure your + and - cables are on the battery posts snug. don't over tighten though. your main ground wire may be overly corroded as well. try relacing it with a new 1ga. wire. i did that and noticed a difference right away as to how much some of my lights dimmed when the system was bumpin'
it's a easy DIY job and could fix your problem.
