curb

its been raining and my wheels lock up REALLY fast... anyway i was coming around a corner and kinda grazed a curb w/ my front passenger tire. now the steering is about 2-3 degrees to the left and it seems sloppy turning to the right. is that just an alignment or is that linkage problems too????

about how much do you think it would cost for an alignment and possible linkage fixing.

Thanks
Steve

jack the car up on jack stands..then pull the wheel vertically and horizantally..if theirs movement up and down then chances are its a ball joint..movement left to right means tie rods..more then likely ur tie rods out of alignment or bent.

since I haven't needed an alignment yet, my dad said it was like $80 where he goes.

do you think all i need is a realignment?? cuz there is a bunch of play turning the wheel to the left (it almost feels like a ford ) that would be cool if thats all it needs, cuz i would get one anyway if i did anything

and i looked at where i hit today.... all that did is make me ****ed off because i wouldnt have hit anything but they decided to make a little bit of the curb shoot out at the last minute and thats exactly where i hit. also it took a health chunk out of my rim

i forgot to add that there is fluid (looks/smells like water) coming from up above my wheel, around the upper control are. and its dripping near my oil filter. are there any water lines or anything like that i gotta worry about in the area???? or could it just be some water from last nights rain somehow still coming down (i dont have the splash guard on yet)

well i got it back from tires plus (i know probably not the best idea... but it was cheap) anyway they said there was something bent but they couldnt find out what, they said something about bent frame.... i think thats just retarted. the car still pulls bad and theres vibration in the wheel around 75-80. just wondering what else i could check out. i did the vertical and horizontal pull test that was mention it seems fine.

thanks

I don't think you bent the frame by "grazing" a curb. I hit the curb at 35mph and all it did was blow two tires and need an alignment. Now 3 months later I'm having some suspension problems, but still, I'd think you'd bust a CV Axle before you bent the frame.
