I just bought a 92 SE, and i got it dirt cheap, so it has its quirks; a few of which involve it's sound system. I'm missing the back left speaker. I have a friend with an extra '91 bose rear speaker, and am wondering if i could put that in and there wouldn't be any conflicts? also, i cant figure out how to fade/balance the sound. as far as i know, it's all faded to the front right (either that or only one of my speakers works) my volume **** is busted off, so i'm assuming (and hoping) it was on there. can i get a new **** to fix the problem? any info would be appreciated.
also, what size are the stock tires?

Assuming 92's and 93's had the same bose radio, I think there were two small buttons on mine that you pressed and they popped out. One was for fading and balancing, press it once and try to adjust the fade. Give it a slight pull,it should click and then you should be able to adjust the balance, or vice versa. The other button is for bass and treble. (I think)I have had my bose radio out of my car for quite awhile. Sorry, if this doesn't help.

I just bought 2 new (used) Bose front speakers off of Ebay for $100 (thats a good deal, right?). Well the speakers were out of a '90 SE and I have a '91 SE. No problem, right? Wrong.

If you take a look, the speakers come out and go in really easy, its just an adapter/4 prog-plug. Popped the out one out and tried to put in the new one, but the plug coming from my car was bigger than the new speakers plug. WHY ARE THEY DIFFERENT? I dont know. After about 4 hours, I finally got it to work. Im not saying you will have problems like this, but Im saying there is a difference between '90 and '91

Stock tires are 205/65/15. I dont know how wide you can go, but I have 215s on right now.

Fade and Balance are the same on '91s.

4 Bose speakers and amps?

That really suprises me they went that cheap. The guy I bought them from was also selling the back speakers, those, I think, went for about $250.

Whatever I paid for them, it was worth it because it sounds a ton better.

i don't have the two buttons on mine. the left side of my stereo looks like this:

---[]---
Treb ^
---[]---
Base ^

ON
VOL (the)
(missing)
(**** )

The treble and bass are sliders, and they dont pull out.
It's very possible that someone took out the stock radio and put in a cheap aftermarket version and ripped me off. if anyone has one simliar to this, let me know.

Czar, do you remember how to fade/balance it? I can't find it anywhere on my radio, and I don't have a users manual, so any info would be appreciated.

Thanks.
