injector question

So I bought a rebuilt injector online a couple days ago, pull it out of the box (it's a Python, by the way) and I see the little pin on the top looks like it's broken off. Doesn't look like the one I took out of the car...see pic. I call up the place I bought it from, and they tell me it's a "new design" and that they have sold a couple hundred that way with no complaints. Can anyone verify this "new design"??

OK, now I see that I can't post pics for some reason, so i'll have to try and describe it. Basically, the old injector has a pin sticking up fron the top with a flat top on it. The new injector has just a straight pin with no flat top on it. Hope that makes sense..

Not really... but if you can email me a pic, I'll host/post it for you. And maybe I might have an answer, to boot!

the only update to the design is the moving of the inlet down further on the injector

I have had 2 e-mails back from the supplier saying they have confirmed it with the factory, so I guess it must be right- but nubiannupe, I'll send you the pic anyway, might be good for everyone to see it. Brian- interested to hear your comments when you see the pic, since you are in the biz.
