rear main seal replacement

I have to replace my rear main seal in my 89 maxima. I have an Automatic tranny. Has anyone done this without pulling the whole engine ? Any help or pointers from anyone who has done this would be great..

Gotta pull the tranny or the engine. I did my during the 5-speed swap, as I didn't want to take it apart for a 5 dollar seal.

Are you sure its not the oil pan gasket?
