I just bought this cool alarm for my car, and it comes with a remote starter and cool remotes that page you when your car alarm goes off. I'm going to have this done by a car stereo place and I was wondering if any of you had problems in the past installing aftermarket alarms.

No problems, just a pain mounting the sensors and mics. I did not deactivate the stock alarm.

I just had a similar installed in mine. No problems but it will take the shop about 3-4h. Shop around, daddyo's did my alarm for $130. Most of the other places wanted 200 or more. If you plan on a stereo later on this would be a good time to do it as well since they'll probably give you a discount on labor. I suggest adding hood and trunk pins because those are optional and the shop won't do it unless you tell them.
