Clacking/Popping sound with Steering?

For a while whenever making a tight turn in the parking lot I get a clacking/popping sound once in a while coming from the driver side wheel well area. Does this sound like a symptom of a bad ball joint or something similar? It's for sure not a CV, I know what that sounds like and that's not it.

Sounds like it but I'm sure it's not. I've replaced the CV recently. It'll just make one or two pop sounds when you make a hard turn into a parking space or something like that. It's not that multiple clicking you get going around a turn.

If the wheels are turned all the way as far as they will go when this happens, maybe it it the wheel stops. Put a light coat of grease on the stops.

I did this and it fixed the noise and the vibration when I made sharp right hand turns at resonable speeds... I would try this first... cheap and easy
