How to bleed an ABS system??
I am sure this is an old question..so if it is answered elsewhere, please just point me to the right post...
I had to have a new ABS actuator installed in my 90 Max SE. The old unit started leaking from the mid-section..and so a new unit went in at a dealer out of my local area.
I don't think they really knew the steps to bleed a new installation of the ABS unit..
So I'd appreciate knowing the full set of steps to follow..
Thanks,
90 Max SE

Same as bleeding brakes on a normal car (search google if you need more info on that) but you should unplug the 4 connectors just in front of the ABS unit before doing so.
Bleed in this order: left rear, right front, right rear, left front

Jeff..I can't open that thread. Any other tips?
Craig..I thought the ABS unit itself needed to be bled..there are bleed screws ( I think ( on the top )..and then is there an issue of actuating the unit so that the fluid is in the right places??
While searching via Google, I saw many different procedures..none, though, related to a vintage Maxima..
Thanks..
