you mean the fuel filter?

it's on the firewall right next to the brake booster.

de-pressurize the fuel system before you take the hoses off the fuel filter. that is unless you like getting gas in your face. mmmm....gas
i learned the hard way
and like matt said, it's to the left of the brake booster when you're facing the engine bay.

or do what I do.. cover the thing with a rag before pulling the hose off the filter. it's the redneck way of doing it, but I haven't had any problems yet.

That's what I do. I'm a yellow neck. 1st time, I pulled and nothing came out. Said "wtf" and looked at the end of the hose. Then "blammo" right in the eye

Make sure after it dies, you restart it a few times.

My first time I let it stall out once but it was still pressurized. I got the gasoline right in the eyes and had to crawl in the house and up to the sink by feel. Not recommended.

I imagine gasoline is not good for the eyes but I'd love to take showers in it because it smells so good. A nice relaxing bath in gasoline sounds nice too. Lying in the tub smoking a cigarette. So nice

try and do it every other year unless you drive an obscene amount of miles each year.

I usually just swap it in the spring when I do my tuneup..
plugs, tranny fluid, fuel filter, antifreeze, etc. etc.
