there any type of ignition upgrade or something to get more power out of these VE's? I got all the basics...besides a new ecu....has anyone figured out a way to rig a supercharger up to these?

I agree, the JWT ECU would be a good mod. I've drove Jeff92SE's car a few times, with the JWT, and it's very impressive.

5spd swap will gian you a second in the 1/4 right there- and it makes the car MUCH more fun to drive.

ya true...Im going to put a 5spd in my car...its just a matter of when...so I might hold off on the ecu until I get a 5spd so i can get a ecu for a 5spd...Im just waiting on a ****ed up 92-94 ve with a 5spd that runs. If I ever see a scrap car with parts I need for the swap, thats when Ill get my 5 spd.

$550 is a lot of money, but as you mod, they get more and more expensive. I already know I have to get the JWT even though I dont know how much hp it increases. Its one of the last on my mod list.

It IS alot. Good thing I didn't pay nearly that.

It REALLY wakes up the car's low/mid and gives great power up high of course. Don't know if I'd actually pay retail but at least you guys have someone that can comment on the increases.

Since I just did a JDM VE swap on another 5-sp with Y, intake, stock ecu, I could compare the differences. The typical mushiness of the VE dohc 4 valve engine is just gone. Imagine the torque down low of a modded 5-sp VG with all the pulling/reving of a dohc VE up high.
