Hi, I have a 2000 SE with 145000km. I've had the battery connector problems, so I had problem starting. However, the clamp was recently replaced and now the connection is tight.

But I still have the problem:
Car intermittently cranks... ie. crank crank... no power... crank... no power... crank... starts...

it seems more common when the car is warm...

and it's not 100% of the time.

And today when the car cranks intermittently, there's one or two knocking noise.

As well I also noticed that when the car is warm, when I start, unlike VQ35s, it doesnt give the boost to 1500rpm and come back down to around 1000rpm. It juz slowly goes to 1000rpm and it feels like there's no boost.

Anyone with similar problem and possibly what could cause the problem?

 

Check your TB, Starter that can cause the problem try cleaning the Throttle body see if that helps if not the starter is breaking up and most be replaced,
