Chrome Rocker panel stick ons(stickers)

I have a question. Does anyone know how much heat this type of material can take? Im not going to add it on my car. Its a project and using this stuff will cheapin my expenses.

depends on what the covering is.. if it's got a clear enamel or plastic coating on it, it won't stand more than a couple hundred degrees before it will discolor and turn yellow.
it it's bare chrome steel, then it'll get really hot-- but then you have to worry about the adhesive on the back.

I was going to try to use them in my old headlights. Mine are all black and the chrome is all deteriorated from time. I was going to use a high heat adhesive to withstand the heat from the bulbs in my light housing. It was an alternative I thought of while trying to stay away from buying new headlight housings for $109 each. I also thought about the chrome duplicolor spray but Im sure that will only do so much. How can I get some real stainless steel that I can cut to fit the housings? I could use a high heat tolerant sealant or adhesive to keep them in there.
