Bose CD player compatibility

Hello everybody-

I have a 1990 SE with the Bose Tape deck--no CD. There is a member selling Bose CD players on this website from the same car. I was wondering, since my car never came with the CD, what I would need to make this work. I have been told that it simply plugs into the back. Is this true?

well different years arent interchangable. i think 89-91 you can use together and 92-94 you can use together. on the back of your headunit, there should be a opening where a circular connector goes in. count how many little holes for the connector. it should be an eight or a six prong connector i think. make sure the other org member has the same number prong connection as you. if so, you should be good to go. good luck. i actually have a cd player that doest work with my93 max, it should work with yours. let me konw if his doesnt work, ill sell you mine
