cold air intake adaptor

I was informed by a local shop that they do not make a cold air intake system for the SOHC motor because it already has the tubing. They said that there is an adaptor for it to change out the stock airbox into a cone filter if anyone is familiar with this and knows where i can get a good adaptor and if it comes with something to move the MAS with. Any help would be greatful.

ok Ebay has the adaptor. You can get them for like less than $10 bucks. I think jeff92se also sells them I cant remember if he does or not. IIRC place air make a whole cold air kit for the vg30e too. But its kinda high.Or you could do like some of us has done make your on kit less than $40 in parts. And Ive heard that the 92 accord kit would work with some mods to it.

You can get a MAF adaptor & cone filter to make a popcharger / hot air intake. To make a CAI, you need an additional pipe that will place the filter right inside the driver-side fender along with the adaptor & cone filter.

There are many sellers on eBay who sell the adapter & cone filter for the popcharger setup. For a CAI, you can either order one from Warpspeed Performance or try one of the hybrid solutions (Accord or Eclipse CAI w/ some minor cutting).

Be VERY careful with those ebay MAF adapters that claim it'll fit 3rd generation maximas. I bought one of them, and it did not fit at all. So it's pretty much a fancy paperweight right now. I got mine from Jeff92se when he was making them awhile back. Don't know if he still does or not.

Yep... I bought mine from eBay & they sent me an adaptor for a 300zx. I read that some just drilled the holes in the adaptor to make it fit but when I matched it with my MAF, it was just too short.

However, upon rotating it 45 degrees, it seems to fit, though only with 2 bolts holding it on diagonally. I've seen one other do the same thing & it seems strong enough for now.
