polyurethane?

Hey guys I am doing an auto to manual swap now on my 91 GXE. I heard putting polyurethane in the mounts strengthens them up alot, mine are pretty shot so while I have the engine out I wana do my mounts, How do you put the polyurethane in and where do you get it? Do you just pour it in and let it set up?

Basically. You take them out, clean them, seal them up super tight, and then pour it in and let it set for a week.

Do a search on Google for "polyurethane engine mounts" or something like that. There are quite a few articles floating around on how to do this. People usually buy the urethane (2 part mix) from www.mcmaster.com and some have used 3M Super Fast Windo (or Window) Weld too, but it is rated a bit softer on the hardness scale... it's easier to work with though and most reviews seem okay. I may try this myself if I have time....

i have used the 3m window weldin my motor mounts and it is a great product to work with

i bought a tube of it at advanced auto for 10$ and sqeazed it in all 4 mounts and it has cured my wheel hop issues and has stop the shifter movment

also i have pics of the mounts filled on my cardomain site

Hey I have the same drivetrain as you. I know this probably isn't your #1 priority (I saw the drag radials...), but how is it for interior vibrations at idle? Just curious even though I'll probaby only want to partially fill mine if I go this route.

jmrader here are some links I have now that I'm home:

One thing people say to do if you use real urethane is to make sure to tape or seal up the mount super well, or it all just leaks out.
