Does anyone have a hitch on the back of their maxima? I think I am going to put one on so I can haul around my bike easier. I was wondering what I should expect to pay and if anyone has any ideas as to what type I should get so that it looks as discrete at possible.

I had thought about doing the same thing. But I think I will do a roof rack instead.

I've got a hitch, but I use it for my Waverunner (yeah, I know it's more stress than an original 150k mile auto tranny should take... but I did put a cooler on it, and it seems to handle it ok). I had a Draw-tite (sp?) hitch installed, it looks quite nice and not very notiable. I think I paid ~$140 installed. If you want to look at the designs of different hitches you can check out www.hitch-web.com

I've got one,, for sale even!

My max's engine is no good and I am currently parting it out. I put a hitch on it a while back and, of course, don't need it. Will sell for 70 dollars, doesn't include wiring for lights(they quit working).

I have one I use on my truck and on that straps on for my max. I personally would not use a receiver mount one on the maxima except for small load and short trips. The one's that are very well designed fit the 2" receivers since this provides enough strength.

I use a OSI receiver hitch (4 bike) and Rhode Gear strap on.
