Ok I've got my car finally a

1992 Nissan Maxima Brougham (Canada)

I've got the Car now and its's sweet except:

I think the rear right speaker is blown cause whenever I listen to something with bass it makes a ratteling noise.

My cd player skips often whenever I go over bumps. But its dosen't make sense cause it skips randomly not on every bump but usually.

My digital clock dosen't work sometimes (randomly works). I got a fix from another post for that now.

And finally my antenna dosen't work. I can hear the motor working but the antenna dosen't go up or down. (I can easily pull it out by hand)

Any Suggestions????

try this...

go to davescoolstuff.com. He fixes any problem you have with the Bose unit. As for the antenna, the cord on the inside is broken. All you need is a new antenna rod. About $40 at the local Nissan dealership.

Go to the web site like he said, but I can tell pretty much what's wrong with your stuff. If the head unit you have is the multimedia one, that is the one with the tape player as well as the CD player, then you need a new laser lens unit. Dave will do this for like a 100 bucks (U.S. dollars). He did it for me and mine hasn't skipped since. I had the same EXACT problem with my CD player. You rear 6X9 is shot to **** and you will need to get it re-coned. Dave will do this also. DON'T take it to the dealer, I learned the hard way. I got both of mine replaced by the dealer and it cost me over 300 dollars (once again U.S. dollars). Also, while you're at it, get them both done at the same time. As for your antenna, all you need is a new mast put in it and the dealer will do that for you pretty cheap. DON'T buy aftermarket power antennas 'cause they don't work on Nissan's. Once again, I found this out the hard way too.
