Nissan performance chips?

Hi. I'm new to this forum, but I've had my Maxima for about 11 yrs now and I love my ride. I've only now started to find ways to fix her up.

I've seen these chips sold on eBay and was wondering what your opinion's were and if anyone has anything positive or negative to say about them (i.e. does it work/not work).

Thanks!

When messing with anything as serious as the ECU I would either recommend using a spare if you want to use those or you can spend the money to get yours reprogrammed. Reprogramming is expensive but there are proven results. The best reprogramming company is JWT - Jim Wolf Technology.

Fixed.

sackz23: You should start by fixing your information or including in your thread what year and model car you have, since some mods for the two engine (VG30E and VE30DE) are different.

Also, what you have done to your car and where you want to to go with it. From there, more people here can give you some recommendations.

Those resistor mod things on ebay are basically just money scams and have been shown not to work.

have a look at the following site for info on "ECU turbo sets". Not sure if its the same as what you are talking about on ebay, but useful info anyway.

It's a good thing you're not on the 4th Gen. forum, people get banned for questions like this.
