Ahh! they butchered my car

I recently took my car to A place called Auto Trim Design to get my windows tinted. they wouldnt do 20%on the front so i told em not to do it. I get to lookin at my car windows inside and the whole rubber squeegee at the bottom of the window is cut off to the very base, and on the back triangle windows is cut all the way around at a 45* angle. And they forgot to compensate for the rear window rolling forword as it gos up, so now theres a little strip thats not tinted, thats visible when you roll the window down. They also cut up out side the window and left some rubber pieces dangling down. they also broke my plexi glass that i had behind the arm rest. And it took them forever, i took it in at 9 am on thursday and it still wasnt done at 5:30 so i had to bring it back in monday for them to finnish the three other windows. how dose it take 8 hours to do one door? Grrrr i should have known not to go there just by the name (Auto TRIM Design). OH and i asked if they would be takin the door panel off, they said " no we dont do that" I thought they were pros an didnt need to, but i guess they just Trim the rub to get it below the ouside rub. Ill post some pics on my web site. Good thing they didnt do my front windows.

I'm glad I don't live in Montana.

That sucks man. I hope you get your money back.

i would take the car back and have them pay for the damages and not bother tinting the car at all but thats just my opinion though. sorry to hear what happened though but u should consider takin' action on this incident. good luck.

I don't know what are the laws in Montana, but if you know them and know that they are obligated to fix thier bad job, or give your money back.
or else go to the police and ask what kind of procedures you could take against the shop.

Police are good people.

IMO...not the greatest job...but it's not "that" bad of a job....but i do see some bubbles/dirt/crap in the tint with the pic w/ the cut weatherstrip.

they either rushed it or just does sloppy work.

shops generally do not take off the door panels...they just tuck the rubber weather strip into the door so they have more clearance.

it should be NOTHING for you to fix it. they will just clean up the cut part. redo the qtr window. sooner you can get there the easier it will be for them.
