My engine fell.

My engine fell.
I would like objective opinions on this, because I am already assuming the worst.
I took my engine out of my car to do a timing belt and clutch. While it was in the air one chain came apart. The engine fell about 2 1/2 feet to the ground. It came down on the oil pan and alternator. Oil pan was dented, alternator housing was cracked. It looked like those two parts had absorbed the shock. I completed my repairs and reassembled everything. I started the engine, and let it run for a short time (30 sec.). It was not running very smooth, i thought because the timing was slightly off. I shut the car off to check fluids and the oil was milky.
I have already jumped to the conclusion that the block is cracked, and am hoping someone has a different possible cause.
If this helps, here is what I did to the engine:
Replace timing belt, tensioner and water pump
Replace clutch assembly
Oil pan gasket
Valve cover gaskets
Plenum gasket
Rear motor mount
Alternator
Water hoses, serpentine belts
Oil pressure sender
Of course I had the engine totally out, so everything was unhooked. There isn't something I could have installed in the wrong place that would introduce coolant to the engine oil, correct.
Thanks for any help/opinions on this devastating problem.

DOH!!
do a compression and leakdown test on it, that will tell you if you broke something internal. it's possible you did FUBAR something, but unless you do a compression test you won't really know.
but no.. you shouldn't have milky oil..

if the oil is milky then you probably cracked the block.
take the pan off and look to see if you do see a crack..also look at the oil pick up.
next time double chain the engine (one primary and one back up just in case the 1st one goes)...it might be your foot under it next time.
