stillen body kit

Can anyone give me a estimate for what the cost is for the paint and installation of a stillen body kit at a body shop.

what color is your car? You are better off going by local places and getting estimates. Its really hard to tell unless we were from your area BUT:

I would say anywhere from $500 - $2000.

free. i can get it done at the school's body shop and they only charge you for parts. now, i just have to come up with enough money to buy the kit...

you should go around to some local shops and get some estimates.

or just install it yourself and it'll only cost you about 625 for the kit

it should only cost you 4-500 for the kit. it does need to be trimmed to fit properly on the car, so dont think you can just go to a shop and have them paint it. and it should be taken off the car to paint. 2 days labor (16 hrs)x50/hr(natl avg)= 800, plus paint and materials(figure 200 after a paint markup) you have it installed decently by someone for $1000

differance between getting it done and getting it done right isn't just a 5 letter word. it took me 2 days to grind down the back sides of the side skirts so that they wouldnt hit the doors when installed. why pay someone to just paint them when theyll look like crap after your doors scratch them?

it probably depends on how well the kit fits your car. the better the fit the less sanding oyu have to do.

the inside of the pass side skirt was extremely thick, drivers side was too, but not as much. and to sand it down is impossible because it is rubber(polyurethane). that means if you use a grinder, it gets too hot and you just melt it, if you use a DA sander it clogs up paper like no tomorrow. my rear piece also didnt fit nicely with the body line, so i had to sand that down. overall it's a great kit, but it needs a lil work to look great

Holy old post but Iw ill add my experience so far wiht the stillen kit.. seems everyone is a little different from anything i read. for instance

my sides fit ok (need a lil work) my rear fits insanely well but the front doesnt fit good at all so it iwll taker the most work. I did however by it used but it seems tha6t it was just painted and a little bit of work done to it but nothing to extensive.

There is a difference between doing it right and just doing it
