One headlight

Stories of the weird. About once a month I'll be driving with headlights and when I turn the car off the left headlight stays on. Pull the fuse for it and it is still on!!! Pull the fuse for the right headlight and it goes off, but once I reinsert it comes back on. Only way to get it off is to pull the right light fuse, turn lights on, reinsert fuse and turn lights off. Real pain in the a$$ when it's raining. How does this make sense?

I'd check the relay too, make sure it's not sticking. I had a fog light relay on another car that would stick, and then the fog lights would stay on even with the switch off. I'd have to turn them on and off until the relay started to work again, or pull the relay.

Could be in the stem on the steering column. You know how you can pull the stem back to flash your brights even when your lights are not on? That mechanism can get real worn and stick. When the one light stays on just flick the stem full forward like full time brights. If they go off (car off) then that is your problem. If they stay on keep lookin'.
