Which side INTAKE MANIFOLD gasket? (pic)

Hi, I started changing my fuel injectors last week on my 89 SE, (i only work on my car on friday-saturday, cuz im busy during the week), and I dropped one of the lower intake manifold bolts inside the intake manifold. So I ended up taking the intake manifold out too, after removing the fuel lines w/injectors. I guess it was kinda good because it was reaaalllyyyy dirty, and now it looks brand new after cleaning it with carb cleaner, and a rough sponge. So no I am getting ready to put the stuff back, and I bought a new gasket set that included:
- the paper gasket for the upper intake manifold, (the big triangle thing, that says "V6 3000" on VG's..looks better than VE engines..lol)
- the paper gasket for the lower intake manifold ( the smaller thin manifold under the triangle thing)..thats how I dropped the bolt into 1 of the 6 holes, the bold was from here
- and the 2 metal/rubber gasket (pictured here) for the intake manifold..the big one.

I know that I dont need any gasket sealer, for the paper gaskets, so I am guessing that I dont need any for the rubber/metal gasket.
I dont know WHICH SIDE to face this gasket. When you look at is closely, the rubber on one side kinda "sticks out" more than on the other side. Its like this with both of them. So which way to I make the extra rubber face?? Down towards the engine/ground, or up towards the sky/fuel injectors.. I hope you guys know what I mean....

the left one is turned so the extra rubber faces up, and the right one is so the extra rubber faces down..sorry for the bad pics, i dont have a digital camera, so I put the gasket on a scanner.....ya i know, so sue me..

just put it in.

think about it...both sides are metal...if you're thinking the way you're thinking..then any way you look at it the one side will leak.

when you torque the gasket down the rubber will squeeze in the middle and seal from both sides.

Just curious, but where did you buy your gaskets from & how much did they run you?
