take it to someone that does it for a living. It doesnt cost that much and you can screw up if you have never done it. Plus its a pain to cut out.

I only paid $140 for my elky's windshield a few years back.
of course it pays to call around. on my blazer I needed a quarter sliding window, and every place I called was $25 higher than the place before. I ended up paying $125 installed

look at older car restoration sites.
They replace windshields more often than we do.

Why don't you just give them a call and ask how much they charge for installation only?

That is what I was saying. I had them come out and take my back window out and install it back after I was finished with the quarter panel. They charged me $40 to do that. Just call around and ask them how much it will cost to do it.

I am telling you it is a pain to cut them out and once you cut them out its an even bigger pain to get all the left over sealant off. Then if you dont get it all off and dont install it correctly it will leak which will cause rust and other problems.

here are the instructions. Cut the old glass out. clean all the old sealant off. buy new sealant and an electric caulk gun (because the sealant is so hard to squeeze out its almost impossible to do with a hand caulk gun), now put the material on the edges where the windshield will go and put the windshield on.

Sure it sounds simple but I will tell you this. I can do and will do any thing on my own car (replace quarter panel, re upholster my seats, blah blah) but when it came time to put my rear windshield back in I called the pros. because there was no need for me to have any problems with it leaking for such a little amount.

Now if they want to charge over $100 just to install it (highly doubt it) then yeah I would invest in the tools to do it. Just call around and get prices.
