I think that's within oem specs but that seems pretty low across the board. Please explain how you did the check. Might cost more to rebuild vs getting a good JDM motor. Unless you are going to do the rebuild yourself.

even if you rebuild it yourself you wind up spending more than you want to/expect to; ive been working on mine for months and its almost done... but at least you know everything that you did to the rebuilt motor and it being brand new versus a used motor with who knows what kind of condition

my jdm did 155 to 165 across the board so thats alittle low but if it runs fine dont worry about it

Dont do a rebuild! LoL. I regret doing mine. The best thing to do is to buy another one in better condition.

well its not gonna be stock and im getting the motor cheap and its something to do this winter. my motor runs great hell 15.2 @93 2.44 60' isnt bad for basic bolt ons with that many miles. and its not gonna be a 3.0 anymore neither and i was thinking how different is the vg30de crank vs the ve would the sprocket fit where the pulley is or are the keyways different or is it different lengths. just wished i had both cranks and do some comparing.

did you hold the throttle wide open when doing the test and remove the all of the spark plugs before testing any of them?

hold the throttle on the floor when you do the compression test. I bet your numbers will jump up to 180 ish.

oh well Ill just change heads when i get my motor or get them ported first then install em. anyways power seems better now since I rewired my Bosch o2 sensor (wires dont match color to color) saturday and reset the ecu tonight it seems to pull alot harder in 2nd from like 2500 and really kicks at 3500 but had to stop at 4200~ ish cuz im speeding in a 25. Ill find out on the highway tomorrow morning. oh well its been three years and I had it to a point that it didnt accelerate a 90 4cyl AT camry took me. then I found the ORG and well almost running perfect.

i'd also take out all of the plugs so that the engine can turn over freely but the biggest thing is to keep the throttle open like Matt said.
