heater problems

hello again everyone!
Im almost finished fixing my max. The only problem left is my heater, I have lots of heat, ac works fine, but here is the problem......when I put the front defrost on hot air blows out the top of the dash but I still get cold air from the vents and also get cold air blowing on my feet.
has enyone else had this problem?
thanks,

There is a little lever to the left of the climate control. Make sure it is down otherwise you will get cold air out of the vents.

How about not getting any heat whatsoever (not on defrost either)? I checked the waterc0ck valve/solenoid and still have vacuum there. Any ideas...thanks.

Possible your heatercore. It's a piece to fix, but it's well worth having heat in the end, trust me

.....It seems like there has been several heating/air system problems latley. Almost like a bunch of the cars hit a certain point in which the heating/air system decides to die

that swishing sound is the heater core i think...is there any water dripping at the feet?

besides a heater core, what else can it be?
