Head Gasket Replacement VE engine
The front right cylinder wont fire, pulled and replaced injector, still has same problem. Daughter drives it home ,I`m following her and I see a lot of white smoke pouring out of the exhust. I believe thats a blow gasket. As any of you guys done a head gasket replacement on this VE engine? And if you did how hard was it?

sounds like a head gasket to me as well. check the oil and antifreeze for contamination and run a compression test on it. that should tell you what and where the problem is.
the front head isn't horrible, but it's still not a lot of fun. even witht he engine out of the car, it took me a couple hours to tear it down. plan a full weekend, just to be sure.
I highly recommend picking up a Nissan service manual.. look around for links to it on z31.org's website.

I would make very sure it's the gasket. It could also be a broken/cracked piston ring. Pull the plugs and see if one/two are wet with coolant as well as what Matt said.
I did a HG on my old VE. Not hard but I had the engine out of the car at the time. At least it's the front. Everything is much easier to get at. Note: when taking the head off, there is one little tiny 10mm bolt either inside the front timing cover or just on the side. Make sure you get this one or you will break off the tab or ruin your head.

Thanks for the reply guys. Compression on that cylinder was a little low, but the plug was clean as a whistle. I think the gasket failed near the cylinder wall, and coolant was getting into the chamber. When you first start it up, the cylinder will fire, but weak, when the engine heats up, it wont fire at all.
When checked for compression, the cylinder had some moisture in it.

yup, sounds like it's going to me.. rebuild it soon and it won't be much of a hassle.
let it keep going and you'll have an engine that looks like the ones on my shop floor.
