Here's the problem... I have a 93 SE auto, i have a really bad noise coming from the oil pan area on my engine. It sounds like a when you put a baseball card in your bike tire and ride it down the street. I am wondering if it is the crank bearings or something else. It does it for a few minutes when i first start the car and when i begin to drive, but then goes away. If anyone has any info on this, it would be greatly appreciated. I am looking at selling my car and need to get this fixed before i sell it.

Vtc?.......

 

I don't think it's the VTC's they were replaced or rebuilt about 4 years ago. But it's a possibility, i bought the car 2 years ago, and it had already been done.

 

Hey I have the same problem and its yet to be fixed! 3 Shops including the dealer looked at it and no one has yet to fix it! My noise is just like yours but mine is always there and doesnt go away. I wish I could figure out what the sound is and fix it. I have a 93 Max GXE SOHC so it cant be my VTC. So people believe its my waterpump. So I dont know

 

exhaust leak maybe? that sounds similar....but that wouldn't be JUST on the passenger side

 

yeah i have a sohc max that does that too, sounds like the car is about to die, not sure what it is tho.
