VG 5-seed clutch adjustment?

I recently replaced my clutch master cylinder and now my clutch is slipping. Does anyone have a link providing instructions on how to adjust the clutch? I did a preliminary search on Google and wasn't able to find much. Any help is appreciated.

Did you compare the rod lengths before swapping out the units?

Yes and I counted the number of turns to unscrew the bracket that connects the rod to the clutch pedal.

Describe the slipping in detail. Before the swap, after the swap, in what conditions etc.

Did you tighten the nut on the rod against the braket? I made this mistake once and the rod threaded itself out and partially disengaged the clutch while driving.

Clutch didn't slip before I put the new master cylinder, clutch pedel would go to floor until more fluid was added to resivour. When upshifting and gas is applied the engine revs higher than normal to accelerate. I did bleed the system at the slave cylinder and at the dampning box on the driverside fender; made sure only clean clear fluid came out before finishing up. The clutch was replaced about a year and a half ago and worked fine and noticed the slippage yesterday and this morning driving to work.
I used pliers to hold the bracket and a wrench to tighten the retaining nut.

Is there any free play at the clutch pedal? If not, you might have to adjust it at the rod. ie.. no free play, clutch is partially engaged all the time.

No no play at all. I am guessing here but will I need to turn the rod clockwise as you are facing the clutch peadal?

Yup that is your problem. Clutch is always partially disengaging. Whatever makes the rod shorter. Should be maybe 1" of freeplay.

Awesome, I know I don't have many posts considering the amount of time I have been a member of the .org but as always you are full of it...

THE BEST ADVICE THAT IS....

Thanks again and I will report back once I have made the adjustment.
