Fuel injector Question
I think he meant pull the plug wire and see if there is any change in the way the car runs. On a VG engine, you can't get to the injector harness without removing the intake manifold- which means the car won't be running.

so how would I do it because I have a VG engine.
Can I rip the boot and test the plug that that is connected to the injector, or will I not get a reading that way? Also when you say unplug do you mean that the fuel injector plugs can be removed without taking out the engine cover?
Also I thought all VG30E engines were the same? but 92-94 Vg's have different fuel injectors than 89-91 why is that?
I know I ask too much but I really need the help.
thanks to those who resond.

2. pull a plug wire.
3. If you notice a change in the idle, then that cylinder is firing.
4. if you don't notice a change in the idle when you pull the plug wire, then that cylinder is not firing.
Repeat process with each plug wire, pulling and replacing one at a time.
This is the easiest way to tell, without puling the intake off to get to the injector harness. If the cylinder is not firing, it's at least a 90% probability that your injector is bad (on VG's, anyway).
You will HAVE to pull the upper intake manifold off in order to replace the injectors. At that point you can verify with a meter that the injectors you suspect are bad really are bad. (they will be).
The injectors on the 92-94 cars have different plugs, which means different harness connectors. Don't know why they did it- maybe because they also had the VE engine come out in 92, and they wanted one set of injectors for both models. (No idea if this is true or not, just a guess)
