I'm still a noob when it come to these things...perhaps you guys that are more mechnically inclined can give me some input

This morning, left the house to get ready to drive to school. Got in, started the car and wait a bit for the engine to warm up. Then, I shifted out of park into Reverse, RPM went down to 450-500, engine shuddered a few times and died on me. So I started her back up and the same thing happens 4 more times. It doesn't stall when I put it in Drive from Park, but only to Reverse. So I decided to let the engine warm up until the temp needle was in the middle then everything was back to normal.

Tranny fluid level is fine (checked two days ago), and this is the first time this have ever happen to me since I own the max. There have been much cooler days and this never occured. Any ideas in this matter? Thanks in advance...

Has your transmission been ok? When my tranny went out on me the engine was doing same thing. Then one day i couldnt reverse at all. After driving from brooklyn to queens. it just went out. i think that you should get tranny checked out. You dont want to be miles away from home alone at night when there isnt anyone around to help you. It sounds like a tranny problem to me and i have same car.

 

yeah my tranny been ok as long as i can remember. no issues until this morning.
