??? bout pop charger or CAI!

i hear that when you install a pop charger or a CAI in your car, you also need to modify some kinda computer chip in the car as well. is this true??? if yes, which chip is this and how would you adjust it??

you heard wrong...you can install an intake w/o any other modification

so what is the proper steps to intalling an pop charger or CAI. do you just replace the stock intake with the aftermaket one??
